Any tool that you can use as a caller id faker can be classified as a caller id spoofing tool. A recent law just passed outlawing a caller id faker tool only if it is used to steal someone’s identity. So if you use it to call a buddy with an ex girlfriend’s number, then the feds probably won’t come after you.
