Just today I received a call from a man with a thick Indian accent telling me that I needed to pay some debt and that he needed to verify my info. I gave no additional info I proceeded to tell him I have no known knowledge of this and to discontinue calling me from what appears to be my phone number. There are people committing fraud every day and caller ID spoofing just made they're job easier! Very angy that this is even possible! Caller ID spoofing should be outlawed! Some girls were calling this guy saying it was me! He texted me at 1 in the morning. I had to convince him it wasnt me calling him. Its not a prank phone call when someone is saying they're someone else. Its almost identity theft. I was very annoyed that someone would do that. But too tired to do anything about it. Anyone saying "its just a harmless little prank" has never had it happen to them. Its harmless if you are not pretending to be someone else. They can call your boyfriend, your boss, who knows!
